Who Will Cry When You Die - Chapter 21 and 22

Chapter 21 - Spend a Day Without Your Watch

Spend an entire day without looking at the time and just experience the day.

I’m still working on this principle. It’s not that I have to look at my watch. It’s more that shows and events are scheduled at certain times, and I want to be available. The times I’ve practiced this principle is when I just do what I want to do for hours. But I still check the time at some point. I would love to hear about your experiences with this particular principle. Have you tried it? How did you feel when you did?

Chapter 22 - Take More Risks

On the other side of fear, lies freedom. The more risks you take, the more rewards you will receive. Failure is nothing more than learning how to win. Start pursuing opportunities. You miss 100% of all the shots you don’t take.

I tested this principle in small steps before doing bolder things. I tried it with the neighbour situation I mentioned in previous posts. I tried it with homebaking. And I tried it by setting up a website. There were certain elements of these situations that scared me. I was afraid of it all because I didn’t want to be unsuccessful. Now I’m not quite sure what I was afraid of. I think the majority of my life I felt like if I messed something up one time then others would view me as a failure. When in reality nobody remembers the fall if you rose up after. So I would encourage you to keep pushing even if you feel like it won’t be successful. The reality is that you don’t fail until you’ve given up on yourself.
